Letter books and general accounts relating to the manufacture and exportation of shoes by James Maguire and Company of Boston and Randolph, Mass., 1852-1870. It had a branch office in Melbourne, Australia. Daybooks, ledgers and cash books of R.W. Turner Company, Randolph, Mass., a firm dealing in groceries and coal, 1843-1888. Coal records predominate for the later years. Also included are records of the Hermitage Mining Company, El Dorado, Calif., 1866-1871, in which the Maguires and Turners had interests.
